SwiftCase 2.8 represents a fundamental shift in how workflows can be configured. More flexibility. More control. Less compromise.

Read-Only Forms When You Need Them

Some information should be visible but not editable. Reference data from parent cases. Historical information that provides context. Calculated fields that users shouldn't override.

Forms can now be marked read-only in the workflow builder. Display the information without the risk of accidental changes. Combine with panel visibility rules to show different users different levels of editability.

Default Answers That Save Time

Repetitive data entry is a productivity killer. When most claims are for a standard product, or most cases use standard terms, why make users select the same values repeatedly?

Default answers pre-populate forms with your most common values. Users can override when needed, but the common case requires no action. Multiply the seconds saved by thousands of cases and the impact is substantial.

Default answers can even pull from client profiles, so each client's standard preferences flow through automatically.

Create Clients From Emails

When an email arrives from an unknown sender, SwiftCase can now create a client record automatically. The reply address becomes the client's email. The name is extracted from the email content where possible.

For businesses that receive enquiries from new customers via email, this eliminates manual client creation. The case is created, the client exists, and work can begin immediately.

This also works with standard formats like Shopify contact form emails, extracting structured data from the email body.

Show or Hide Costs and Fees

Not every workflow needs financial tracking visible. Some are purely operational. Others involve sensitive cost information that shouldn't be visible to all users.

Costs and fees can now be shown or hidden on a per-workflow basis. Keep financial data visible where it's needed, hidden where it isn't.

Search Everything

The new "view all tasks" configuration lets authorised users search across the entire system, regardless of their normal visibility restrictions. Essential for support teams, auditors, or managers who need to find any case quickly.

Combined with the existing visibility rules, you get the best of both worlds: restricted access for normal operations, unrestricted search when authorised.

Planning Calendar Month View

For workflows involving scheduling and appointments, the planning calendar now includes a month view. See availability across weeks at a glance. Plan resource allocation more effectively.
