The first half of 2022 brings improvements that make everyday workflow management smoother.
Capture URLs Properly
Web addresses are everywhere in modern business. LinkedIn profiles. Company websites. Portal links. Document URLs.
The new URL question type handles them correctly:
- Validates that entries are properly formatted URLs
- Automatically converts text to clickable links
- Opens links in new tabs to preserve workflow context
- Stores URLs in a consistent format for reporting
No more free-text fields that might contain a URL, or might contain something else entirely.
Change Experts From Task Lists
Previously, reassigning an expert to a case meant opening the case, finding the right setting, making the change. If you needed to reassign multiple cases, you repeated this for each one.
Now you can change experts directly from task listings. Select a case, change the expert, move on. When you're redistributing workload or covering for absent staff, this turns a tedious process into a quick one.
You can also limit product instance changes from listings, giving you control over what can be bulk-modified and what requires opening the individual case.
Control Document Visibility by Default
Document templates now have a default visibility setting. Choose whether generated documents start as public (visible to external users) or private (internal only).
This is essential for workflows where some documents should never be shared externally, or conversely, where documents are routinely sent to clients and starting public saves a step.
Modals That Don't Frustrate
A common complaint: accidentally clicking outside a modal and losing your work. Question configuration modals now stay open unless you explicitly close them. Your half-completed configuration won't vanish because of a stray click.
Better Email Account Management
Email account setup has been streamlined:
- Verification issues when adding accounts have been resolved
- Account listings now show the email provider for quick identification
- Subject mapping displays in the correct order when editing
