Complex organisations need flexible access controls. This update delivers them.
Work Across Organisational Boundaries
Some workflows involve users from multiple organisations working on the same cases. A broker coordinating between insurer and repairer. A consultant accessing client cases. A shared service centre supporting multiple business units.
The new shared user access feature lets client staff be assigned to tasks outside their own organisation. A new case relationship type enables this cross-boundary collaboration while maintaining appropriate access controls.
You decide which relationships allow cross-organisation access. The flexibility is there when you need it, controlled when you don't.
Override Answers From Relationships
Case relationships often carry information that should flow to related tasks. A parent company's billing address. A referring partner's contact details. Standard terms from a framework agreement.
You can now configure profile answers from case relationships to override orderline answers under specific conditions. Set up the rules once, and the right information flows automatically.
This eliminates manual copying and ensures consistency when relationship data should take precedence.
Visibility Rules Toggle
The workflow builder now includes a visibility toggle for rules. Turn rules on or off to test different configurations without deleting them. Debug visibility issues by toggling rules individually to identify which one is causing unexpected behaviour.
It's a small addition that makes workflow configuration significantly less frustrating.
Prevent Stale Status Changes
Here's a subtle but important fix: if someone has a task page open and the workflow is republished with status changes, they could previously submit status changes that no longer made sense.
Now the system detects when the status configuration has changed and prevents outdated status changes from going through. Users are prompted to refresh and see the current options.
Performance Improvements
Several areas received session handling optimisations that reduce database load and improve response times, particularly for management information and statistics pages. The changes are invisible, but busy systems will notice smoother performance during peak usage.
