SwiftCase 2.10 is our biggest release of the year. The headline: email fetching that actually works the way you'd expect.
Email Fetching, Rebuilt
Email is how most work arrives. Customer enquiries. Supplier quotes. Partner updates. The previous email fetching system worked, but it had rough edges. Missed emails during busy periods. Confusing error messages. Inconsistent timing.
Version 2.10 rebuilds email fetching from the ground up:
Interval-based fetching catches all emails reliably. The system fetches in smaller intervals with overlap, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks during high-volume periods.
Clear error announcements when attachments fail to fetch. Instead of silent failures, you see exactly what went wrong and for which email.
Provider visibility so you can see at a glance whether each account is Gmail, Microsoft 365, or another provider.
If email is the front door to your workflows, that door now opens reliably.
Interactive Child Tasks
Parent-child task relationships get more powerful. The new interactive child task widget lets users create and manage child tasks directly from the parent, with live updates as children progress.
Configure which child tasks count towards completion. Hide deleted tasks from the count. Let the parent task status change automatically when children reach specific states.
For workflows with approval chains, sub-contractor assignments, or multi-party processes, this transforms how work is coordinated.
Document Uploads, Streamlined
The document upload widget has been rebuilt to be smaller and more focused. File tagging works reliably. Status changes triggered by uploads behave correctly.
We've also fixed issues with the widget changing status unexpectedly, ensuring documents upload without side effects you didn't intend.
Find Workflows Instantly
As your SwiftCase instance grows, finding the right workflow or template becomes harder. The new workflow search lets you filter by name, finding what you need in seconds instead of scrolling through long lists.
API Improvements
Sending emails via API now works correctly for task-related communications. API requests for tasks have been fixed for edge cases that previously caused issues.
These improvements matter for integrations that trigger email communications or query task data programmatically.
