Speed matters. When your team processes hundreds of cases daily, every fraction of a second adds up. This quarter we focused relentlessly on making SwiftCase faster.
Faster Session Handling
We've migrated to memcached for session management. The technical details matter less than the result: pages load faster, especially during peak usage when many users are active simultaneously.
The improvement is most noticeable on busy systems. Where you might have seen occasional slowdowns during high-traffic periods, you'll now see consistent performance.
Smarter Resource Usage
We've eliminated unnecessary work across the platform:
Background loading for status widgets. When you switch to another browser tab, SwiftCase stops polling for updates. When you return, it resumes. This reduces server load significantly without affecting your experience.
Streamlined sidebar. The sidebar no longer checks feature packages on every page load. Fewer database queries means faster navigation.
Optimised notifications. Dashboard notification polling now uses fewer resources while still keeping you informed.
These changes compound. Individually, each saves milliseconds. Together, they make the whole system feel more responsive.
Transform Data from External APIs
For complex integrations, we've added API pre-processors. These let you manipulate data from external systems before it lands in your workflow.
Need to calculate a total from multiple fields? Convert a date format? Extract a value from nested data? Pre-processors handle the transformation so your workflow receives clean, usable data.
Multi-Step Forms That Flow
Forms with multiple steps now update their titles and panels as users progress. It's a small visual improvement that makes complex forms feel more guided and less overwhelming.
Automatic Relationship Updates
When a customer account changes in credit control, all related tasks now update automatically. No manual cleanup. No orphaned relationships. The data stays consistent across your case hierarchy.
