Comparison
Dynamics 365 is a modular CRM and ERP suite for organisations standardising on Microsoft. SwiftCase runs one thing well: operations where the work arrives as a case and ends in a report. Knowing which problem you have makes the choice simple.
Built for work that arrives as a case and ends in a report or a decision: claims, instructions, assessments, matters and referrals.
A family of modules covering sales, customer service, field service, finance and supply chain. Breadth across the business rather than depth in one operation.
One monthly fee based on emails and events processed. Adding people to the operation does not change the bill.
Licensed by named user and by module. Teams needing more than one app often pay for each, and attach licences reduce but do not remove that.
We configure the platform to your process as part of every plan. No partner engagement to scope and no developers to hire.
Most deployments run through a Microsoft partner. Timelines are commonly measured in months, and the implementation is usually a larger line than the licence.
Workflows, forms, documents and rules are changed by the people running the operation. Most changes need no code and no ticket to us.
Customisation runs through Power Apps, Power Automate and the Dataverse model. Capable, but it assumes someone in-house or on retainer who knows it.
Email, calendar, Teams and SharePoint connect through the integrations layer and API. Useful if you run Microsoft, not required.
The strongest reason to choose Dynamics. Outlook, Teams, Excel and Power BI are first-class, and identity and governance come from the same tenant.
Voice, chat, WhatsApp, SMS and email agents attached directly to the case and the workflow, included rather than sold alongside.
Customer Service, Contact Center and Copilot capabilities are licensed as their own products, with consumption pricing on some AI features.
Firms of roughly 10 to 500 people whose product is expert work delivered on time, without an internal development function.
Organisations consolidating CRM, finance and operations onto one vendor, with the IT capability to run it.

With Dynamics, the licence is usually the smaller half of the number. Here is what else belongs in the comparison.
Dynamics 365 pricing varies by module, agreement and partner. Figures here describe the shape of the model rather than a quote. Ask both vendors for written pricing against your own user numbers before deciding.
Dynamics 365 is a serious platform with reach that SwiftCase does not attempt. If your requirement spans finance, supply chain and field service as well as customer records, no case management platform is going to answer it, and ours will not either.
Dynamics is the better answer when you need:
Where SwiftCase is the more direct route is narrower and deeper: a team whose work arrives as cases, who need it live this quarter rather than next year, and who want to change the process themselves afterwards without raising a ticket with anyone. Plenty of firms run both, with Dynamics holding the customer record and SwiftCase running the operation.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a suite of business applications licensed by module: Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Finance, Supply Chain and more, sitting on the Dataverse data model and extended through the Power Platform. Organisations choose it to standardise a broad estate on one vendor, and the pull is usually the depth of integration with the rest of Microsoft 365. SwiftCase is narrower on purpose. It runs operations where work arrives as a case and leaves as a report or a decision: claims, instructions, assessments, matters and referrals.
That difference shows up in how each is bought and run. SwiftCase is configured to your process by our team as part of implementation, then changed by the people doing the work, on a flat monthly fee with unlimited users. Dynamics is licensed per named user per app and is usually deployed through a Microsoft partner, with the implementation typically costing more than the first year of licences. Document extraction, document generation, a built-in CRM and Switchboard, our voice, chat and messaging agents, are part of SwiftCase rather than separate SKUs, and the data is held in the UK by a supplier holding Cyber Essentials.
If the requirement is genuinely CRM plus ERP across a large organisation, Dynamics is the stronger platform and we would say so plainly. If the requirement is one operation running well, without a Power Platform developer and without a year of project, SwiftCase gets there faster. The two sit together without difficulty when a firm wants both.
For the operations side, yes. SwiftCase covers the case management, workflow, document handling and customer communication that a team would otherwise build on Customer Service and the Power Platform. As a replacement for the finance and supply chain modules it is not an alternative, and we would not present it as one.
For many operations teams, yes. SwiftCase has a built-in CRM that holds clients, contacts and the history of work done for them, which is enough for firms whose relationships run through cases rather than a long sales pipeline. If you need forecasting, territory management and quota tracking for a sales organisation, Dynamics Sales is the better fit.
Yes, through the integrations layer and the API: email, calendar, Teams and SharePoint all connect, and your own team can add an integration without waiting for ours. What SwiftCase does not offer is the native, same-tenant depth Dynamics has, and if that depth is the deciding factor then Dynamics should win.
SwiftCase charges one monthly fee based on emails and events processed, with unlimited users, so headcount does not change the bill. Dynamics licenses per named user and per application, so a team needing two modules generally pays for both, and the partner implementation sits on top. Ask for written pricing from both against your real user numbers.
SwiftCase is typically live in four to eight weeks with implementation included in the plan. Dynamics deployments are usually measured in months and run through a partner, because the platform is configured rather than pre-shaped to a particular operation.
